This year Herefordshire’s landmark music festival Nozstock: The Hidden Valley celebrates its 20th anniversary, an astounding achievement which only a small group of UK festivals have reached, since started by the Nosworthy family and a group of like-minded friends who gathered annually at the same spot many years ago. “We’ve brought back some of our favourite and most memorable artists from the past 20 years.” says Ella Nosworthy, “Our Nozstalgia theme is whatever you feel fond about from the past. There’s lots of inspiration to get really creative!”

Last week Nozstock revealed the first wave of artists performing for the momentous occasion, an all-star line-up of both up-and-coming and world renowned artists, forming an irresistible range of musical styles across ten intimate stages.

Headlining in The Garden stage, hip-hop royalty Grandmaster Flash of the Furious Five is a famous pioneer of turntable techniques. He is set to bring an incredible spectacle of party-popping anthems to entertain all ages. Speaking of inspirations, Chali 2na MC, painter and founding member of rap supergroup Jurrasic 5, will make a warmly welcomed return after stealing the spotlight over Wu Tang Clan in 2016, when J5 filled in for Wu after they dropped out last minute. UK hip-hop’s most legendary brotherhood, rap duo Task Force (Chester P & Farma G) are also billed, bringing some of the most frank and forthright raps in the game, unleashing hard-hitting street stories from their acclaimed Music From The Corner discography which shall undoubtedly educate and enlighten. High Focus founder Fliptrix will lead the stage with his trademark seamless semantics and thought-provoking, weed advocative wordplay whilst Verb T & Pitch 92 shall also make appearances, bringing an odyssey in rhyme and funk.

Headlining The Orchard, electronic floor fillers Chase & Status are one of the most successful acts associated with drum and bass, with multi-platinum albums, numerous charting singles, and working with the likes of Rihanna. In the bass-pulsating Cubicles, DJ Mag The Bunker in collaboration with Metalheadz brings a bag of bass heavy tricks on Friday. They welcome respected and revered producer Dillinja with Remidy MC, Hospital Records most eminent producer S.P.Y. as a special guest, the man with 25 years’ experience under his belt, Randall with M.C Trafic plus support from Dispatch Recordings’ Amoss, Metalheadz head honcho Ant TC1, special guest Octo Pi, Deadmau5, and more. The Cabinet of Lost Secrets features 7Suns’ music in an energizing blend of Afro, Latin, Caribbean, funk, jazz and rock. And if that’s not enough, there’s plenty more plenty more enlivening spectacles to choose from, across what should be Nozstock’s most memorable weekend to date.

The 20th edition of Nozstock hits Herefordshire from the 20th-22nd July. Grab your tickets HERE
