Wordplay are proud to introduce an incredible, multi-talented and almost genre-less band from Leeds, whose sound merges live instrumentation, beautiful vocals, cuts and more. The band define themselves as Soul Fusion, blending Hip Hop, Afrobeat, Soul and Jazz and more. They’ve been garnering support across Leeds, particularly amongst the Leeds Groove scene, the 9-piece have already supported the likes of Nubiyan Twist, Wu-Lu, K.O.G and The Zongo Brigade and Afriquoi. The band in question is Necktr.

With their EP set for release in August, these guys are set to make serious sound waves in 2018 and beyond. To introduce these guys properly we wanted to show them doing what they do best, so we are very excited to present Necktr through WPTV’s live session, with a beautifully shot and recorded video from the the band’s city of origin, Leeds.
