London’s late festival showcasing the best in British sounds!

Check out London’s ground-breaking new late festival featuring the coolest sounds in some of the capital’s best venues. From a DJ set from modern funk collective, Jungle, at the Natural History Museum to soulful sounds from Poppy Ajudha and Ady Suleiman at South London’s Horniman Museum.

London isn’t short of great new festivals. From Giles Peterson’s Maiden Voyage to Boiler Room’s diverse lineup of club, jazz, rap and bass. Now, Emerge have curated an innovative night-time festival to bring a range of great talent from the arts scene to over 40 of London’s most iconic museums and heritage spaces.

Over three days, festival-goers can expect music, DJ sets, workshops, talks, performances, poetry, immersive experiences, live art installations, theatre and a silent disco on Tower Bridge.

Here’s what we’re most looking forward to:

Ady Suleiman and Poppy Ajudha at the Bandstand, Horniman Museum.

After seeing Ady and Poppy at Cross The Tracks, they’ve been on our radar. They’re the hottest young things in the UK neo-soul movement, with Poppy providing her soulful vocals on Tom Misch’s Disco Yes which led to the song being picked as one of Barack Obama’s favourite tracks of the year. Likewise, Ady Suleiman’s timeless soft vocals and melodic tracks from Been Thru to Best Friend have landed him fans from Chance the Rapper to Laura Mvula.

Jungle (DJ Set) at the Natural History Museum

We caught Jungle’s spectacular set at Primavera this year, and their Royal Albert Hall sell-out show was one to remember. Now, the modern funk-soul collective will be hitting up the Natural History Museum for one night only. With speakers including UK female beatboxer Bellatrix, and comedian/writer Helen Arney, the night will dive into topics from life and death to evolution.

IN FUTURE curated by Flohio

Just in case we didn’t love her enough, the critically acclaimed and much-loved UK rapper, Flohio, will be hosting a night in collaboration with Livity and Historic Royal Palaces at Banqueting House. Expect music, art, video, fashion, spoken word and music.

Hidden Gems Live at Rich Mix

Leytonstone rapper Lemzi will be bringing the vibes to Rich Mix along with Ferns, NYN, Idris Miles, Hyper and Fever, who will all be bringing an electric night of neo-soul, hip-hop, trap, R&B, afrobeats and grime. There’ll also be spoken word!

Benin City and Mina Rose at Nunnery Gallery

One of our favourite up-and-coming voices, Mina Rose (who previously supported Jorja Smith) will be headlining at the Nunnery Gallery’s courtyard along with London trio Benin City.
