Maze is the new single from Chikaya and is her most soulful song to date. Lyrically, the song is about unity, self appreciation & acknowledging mental health. Instrumentally, the song was inspired by the story of Alice in Wonderland falling down the rabbit hole!

Bristol singer Chikaya spent 2019 making cosmic waves in the UK music scene which resulted in the rising star ending the year on the BBC Introducing Hotlist. Fast forward to 2020 and the songstress was tipped by BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens as one of his ‘Ones To Watch’ in 2020.

Known and loved for her DIY Lo-fi approach, the half English half Zambian showcases her unique flows, futuristic, dreamy sound and ability to intertwine the range of genres that influenced her growing up along with her time spent in Bristols fractured music scene. Working with flatmate- turned producer, Chikaya started recording vocals in her bedroom on her phone, and what started out as experimenting with numerous genres and styles, resulted in her self- cultivated 'Cosmic' sound which has lead to her receiving co signs from Bristol legend Tricky and London Rapper CASisDEAD.
