Soul Acoustic Announce 2020 Lineup

We’re excited to announce that SOUL ACOUSTIC is returning in March this year with an all-star lineup. Showcasing the freshest artists from the UK performing stripped back and acoustic in intimate settings hitting major cities across the country for one night only.

With an impressive back catalog of previous touring artists including Kara Marni, Urban Music Award-nominated Miraa May, Mobo award winner Shakka, UK legend Carroll Thompson and the critically acclaimed ShezAr, Soul Acoustic aims to develop the audience of the UK’s most promising vocalists and showcases unique talent in its purest form.

Artists hit the road from Wednesday 25th March, kicking off at Birmingham’s Hare & Hounds, before heading on to Leicester’s 2Funky Music Cafe on Thursday 26th March, Manchester’s The Zombie Shack on Friday 27th March and finishing up at London’s Notting Hill Arts Club on Saturday 29th March. Plus, there are more dates to be announced…

So, who can you expect to see?

Kicking off the tour is grime MC extraordinaire, Manga Saint Hilare. From his days in grime crew, Roll Deep, Manga has been a pioneer in the grime scene and his recent solo works have been lauded as some of the best grime releases of the year, with their vulnerable and thought-provoking lyrical content. With recent collaborations with the likes of Murkage Dave and P Money, expect rapid flows and incredible technique.

Next up in the stellar lineup is Leicester’s own Morgan Munroe. The R&B singer-songwriter first caught our attention with her debut track, Mama Taught Me and with her jazzy tones and psychedelic vibes, we can see great things for this vocalist. Fans of Little Dragon, Amy Winehouse and Sasha Keable should pay attention to this future star.

Birmingham-based Ricardo Williams will also be one to watch. Influenced by the likes of Tank, Jodeci and Boyz II Men, his R&B-infused vocals are full of depth, emotion and sensuality. With the success of his track Come Over, he’s supported Faith Evans and Tiana Major 9, and we can’t wait to hear his new songs fresh from his recent EP, Intermission Vol. 1.

Repping Manchester, Somalian-born HMD (pronounced Hamdi) comes from a long line of orators and poets, which explains his lyrical prowess. Inspired by his experience of growing up across Mogadishu, Manchester and Denmark, HMD’s music encompasses love, loss and identity. With the success of his recent single, Deen, we predict HMD to be making waves in 2020.

Last but most definitely not least, Wolverhampton-based singer-songwriter and self-taught producer, Cariss Auburn will be bringing the funk, soul and jazz vibes with a touch of 90s R&B. Fresh from her sold-out show at Birmingham’s Sunflower Lounge, Cariss’ recent track Way Down has received international acclaim. Longlisted in Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition, she’ll be bringing the vibes.
