Lord Apex - UK Sh*t (Official Video)
The black and white visual is loosely inspired by Kanye West's classic All Falls Down video, but instead of sun-drenched Chicago captures the distinctly moody, gritty vibe of inner-city UK streets. The video was directed by Milo Blake and shot in White City, West London.
The UK Sh*t single is a transatlantic collaboration between Lord Apex and V Don - a New York producer whose credits include A$AP Rocky, Dave East and the Griselda Records crew - and is taken from their forthcoming joint album, Supply & Demand, out 4th Sept.
Although only 23-years-young, Lord Apex (AKA, Sensei, Yardie Miyagi, AP) takes inspiration from an earlier era and artists such as Busta, Missy, Wu-Tang, Dilla at their peak. So far, the Londoner's highlights include Spliff In The Morning (+2.8m plays on Spotify, +1.9m on YouTube), sessions for Boiler Room and Colors, plus Apex has recently been chosen to support Yasiin Bey (FKA Mos Def) on post-lockdown shows.
