Having released an album yearly from 2017-2019, aside from a couple of remixes Verses Bang seemingly took 2020 off. That assumption however, would be a wrong one, as he kicks off 2021 with a brand new 7 track effort: The New Normal?.

Whilst casually immigrating mid pandemic from Sunny Southend to the even Sunnier Los Angeles, Verses has managed to find time to convey the thoughts of his new beginnings whilst addressing the current anxieties of the world. A combo of trap scented production with a hint of boombap courtesy of beat maker Oozhe, matched with witty, tongue in cheek, and often overlooked metaphors from The Essex born rapper.

Continuing to create a unique sound which he first started to chisel with “Versace Rings & Chest Pains” this latest release arrives at just the right time. This is how you pandemic in style, with The New Normal? reminding us that nothing is in fact, normal.
