Benza - Speak (World Suicide Prevention Day)

This song is personal to Benza on more than one level. He wrote it for World Suicide Prevention Day back in September last year.

Speaking on the project, Benza say’s: “Suicide is a subject I hold close to my heart, as I have unfortunately lost many loved ones due to this tragic act and have suffered personally as many of you watching will have also.

My aim here is to raise suicide awareness in our lives as many of you will have been affected by this in some way or have witnessed the true nature of this , especially in this current climate (with the suicide rate in adult males in the U.K on the constant rise , as they are three times more likely to die by suicide than women)

If you feel you are personally struggling , I ask of you now to please , please talk to anyone. We need you! You may not see it just yet , but there are lots of amazing and beautiful things about you that others can show you and hopefully you will find them too”.

If you feel you don’t have anyone to talk to and can’t get hold of myself or anyone else, do not hesitate to contact the Samaritans (contact information below).

Stay safe and please don't give up! Lots of love and hope in my heart always - Benza

When life is difficult, Samaritans are here – day or night, 365 days a year. You can call them free on 116 123 (within the UK or Ireland), email them at jo@samaritans.org or visit their website at www.samaritans.org.

Whoever you are and whatever you’re facing, they won’t judge you or tell you what to do. They’re here to listen so you don’t have to face it alone.

Special thanks to everyone involved in this project - Team Benza
