Kwaku Assante - Feel Something (Official Video)

Singer/songwriter Kwaku Asante drops the visual for his new single ‘Feel Something’, taken from his ‘Blue Solstice Vol:1’ EP that dropped in September. Directed by Kemi Anna, the visual follows Kwaku as we see his love interest progress from a glance across the room to a full-blown obsession. Demonstrating his ability to effortlessly blend genres with the ease of an international star, ‘Feel Something’ will fill any club dancefloor. Produced by Connor Albert, and written in just 24 hours, the song poetically tells the story of when you’re falling for someone but hesitant to jump fully in, keeping your cards close to your chest.

Growing up, Kwaku has fond memories of his younger years, his love for music was sparked both at church and at home in a house filled with Gospel and Jazz. Playing piano and singing in the choir from a young age progressed into recording demos whilst at university and exploring his artistic talents. His formative years taught him about discipline and cultivated his love for academia and sports, which both played a role in shaping him into the man he is today. Now he is switching things up and changing the old, outdated narrative that surrounds men, especially black men when it comes to expression and vulnerability. In a time when toxic masculinity is still so rife, Kwaku is moving things forward with his honest lyrics and creating space through his authenticity.
