E ^ R T H – October Rain (Single)

After taking a hiatus from music, London-based Nigerian musician E ^ R T H returns to the scene with a new single ‘October Rain’ released under independent record label Noutéka.

One of the many gifts of music, is the ability to illustrate emotions through sound and lyrics that resonate with listeners far and wide. Through ‘October Rain’, E ^ R T H recognises the power of music by tapping into her vulnerable side. She sings, “Rain, rain, rain wash away the pain” speaking on ‘darker days and the difficulties of dealing with life coupled with seasonal depression’. There is such a calming quality in her vocal ability, tone and delivery that is a signature part of her sound.

E ^ R T H’s influences stem from eclectic genres and the ingenuity of producers like J Dilla, Neue Grafik and Saul. She is a multifaceted artist whose passion for holistic healing filters both into her music, lifestyle and the handcrafted oils she makes for Soil Products. She teams up with French beatmaker Fro and saxophonist Siel for this soothing melody. The song is accompanied with mesmerising visuals directed by MIRIAM capturing the beauty of rhythm, movement and expression with a performance from Tania Chikaima.

This is the latest release from her upcoming EP Mami Wata coming out on 12th November.
