Ray3urn X Trichia Grace-Ann - Right Now (Single)

Last week Mumbai/Goan artist Trichia Grace-Ann unleashed a powerfully proud hip-hop/RnB single called Right Now, alongside acclaimed Indian producer Ray3urn. 

Right Now follows an enticing theme of finding potential love interests on nights out with friends, promising not just one fun night but a lifetime of euphoric love - with all the attitude of a confident woman who takes full control of her situations. The production was handled by Indian producer Ray3urn, renowned for a distinctive music style which differs from traditional desi hip-hop. 

Filmed between a skate park on Carter Road, Bandra in Mumbai, India and Trichias home in Mumbai, the filmmaking process was handled by Onimesh Das & Anil Gupta who, despite limited resources due to restrictions in Mumbai, accomplished a thrilling visual to accompany the single. The video opens up with a nostalgic, 90’s style scene at a skatepark - paying tribute to 90’s RnB/hip-hop which has been a major influence for Trichia musical upbringing. Then it shift’s further back in time to the 70’s, paying more homage to the era. The scene continues to switch to a group of ladies who party without a care; a fiercely feminine track which demonstrates how Trichia is truly about the culture and not simply a tokenism in the desi hip-hop community.
