Bonobo ft. Jordan Rakei - Shadows (Single)

 

Marking the latest single from his upcoming album, “Shadows” sees Musician, Producer and DJ Bonobo collaborate with Artist and labelmate Jordan Rakei to create an incredible track that should definitely be on everyone’s playlists.

“Shadows” is a track that will leave fans of both artists immensely satisfied, with a bass-filled groove to keep the listener’s head bobbing and rising string and synth sections to accompany Rakei’s soulful vocals. Speaking more on the single, Bonobo (aka Simon Green) stated “Shadows was one of the first pieces in place for the new record and working with Jordan was such a joy. We’d spent plenty of time together previously. He’s toured with us and I’m a huge fans of his. He was an easy choice as a collaborator.”

Rakei adds to this, “I've been a huge fan of Bonobo for such a long time and to now share a piece of music with him is super special. We actually worked on this tune remotely at the beginning of Lockdown 2020,”

As well as the release of this new single, Bonobo has also announced an additional night at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday 19 May as part of his world tour, the news comes after selling out the Wednesday the 18th show.

"Migration" also reached #1 on Billboard’s Dance album chart and hit Top 10 positions in several countries, including a Top 5at home in the UK. He’s also a favourite mainstage performer at the world’s greatest music festivals and has revealed an extensive 2022 world tour.

"Fragments" also features Joji, O’Flynn, Kadhja Bonet and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. Born first out of fragments of ideas and experimentation, the album ultimately was fused together in a burst of creativity fueled by both collaboration and Green’s escape into the wild. The first song to be shared from the new album, 'Rosewood', received extensive praise alongside the album announcement news including coverage in Pitchfork, Mixmag, DJ Magazine and Vinyl Factory. It was picked up in CRACK magazine’s weekly track selections, as well as recently hitting the A-list on BBC 6 Music.
