Palafico Honey - Orpheus (EP)

Residing in a sonical space somewhere between Neo-Soul, R&B, and bedroom pop, meet West London’s, Palafico Honey - the four-piece bedroom disco band here to make their mark.

Crafting a melodious masterpiece requires an element of formulated alchemy: and with Tom Capaldi on keys and production, Ellie Beale (Mr Beale) on vocals, Dan Steward (Geo Taguchi) on guitar, and Tom Nevile on bass, Palafico Honey has got it down to a T.

Following on from nu-disco inspired releases with Midnight Riot and Editorial Records, and majestic electronic side projects with Demuja and Stolen Groove, the band now offer up their latest hit of perfection, ideal for fans of the sophisticated blends of Sade, Men I Trust and Babeheaven.

The ‘Orpheus’ EP divulges an euphonious exploration of the contrasts between light and shade coupled with a journey into the mythical realm. Title track “Orpheus' pertains to a more down tempo flow: an infectious groove-based slow burner saturated with a cooling exilr of soul vocals. On the EP’s B-side, we’re graced with, ‘Sun Song’, a tighter beat track infused with the jazz inspired inflections of live collaborator Nat Phillips on saxophone. Delivered through this palpable juxtaposition Palafico Honey crafts a masterpiece of sweet cacophony.
