Scuti returns with the next taster of new music “KitKat” taken from her forthcoming EP ‘Intoxication’. “KitKat” also comes accompanied by a video directed by Honey JD. An encapsulation of youthful fervor, Scuti’s stripped back and icy vocal delivery left many in awe as she stormed onto the scene with her debut EP ‘This Is Skoo’. Further cementing herself as one of London’s most vital young voices, the ‘Intoxication’ EP is a cold and hard-hitting collection of crystalline trap beats with undeniably slick lyrical accompaniment.

Scuti bursts into full lyrical flow with unnerving ease on “KitKat” as the track wanders hypnotically through meditative eastern sampling and razor edged beats. The instrumental fades out at key moments within the arrangement to carve an ornate path for Scuti’s bars, standing tall atop the elegant sparsity of the production by Finn Wigan (who has worked with the likes of Backroad Gee, Digga D, Kwengface). This minimal yet commanding approach is quickly becoming the stylistic trademark of the capital’s rap luminary. It’s no surprise she amassed such a large cult-like fan base in just two years.

She cheekily delves into the meaning behind the track; “Have you ever met somebody that just doesn’t know when to stop talking? That was the vibe for this song. Some people just need to chill and have a Kit Kat, simple but true”.
