Rising NYC producer emawk releases his first track of 2021 with upbeat RnB track ‘Highroad’, accompanied by a mesmerising, choreographed video, self-shot by emawk and friends. ‘Highroad’ is also joined by new b-side track ‘Beads’, and the news marks the first-step on emawk’s plans to embark on an ambitious audiovisual project which will see him release new tracks and corresponding videos steadily throughout 2021.

If you're not already across him - emawk is the moniker of Boston-born, Kenyan raised, New York based Kwame Nkrumah, who began releasing music in 2017, releasing EP for ness with standout track ‘someone’ gaining over 2 million streams on Spotify, with people recognising his lush self-production and the distinctive quality of his vocals. From there - he went on to release a string of singles throughout the next few years, such as standout tracks ‘Later’ ‘18’ and ‘Ambivalence’, and has now had over 30 million combined streams, despite being self-produced and released.
