Jozem - Dreams (Single )
Can I just start by saying wow! I heard this track it’s really evoked something inside of me. I’ll even go as far as saying it reduced me to tears. There was something so hauntingly beautiful, raw and honest about this track. Hailing from Toronto is Jozem with ‘Dreams’ an experimental soul track. The harmonies from the onset are captivating and demand your attention. When the bass sound kicks in it really does hit you in your chest reminding me of a unsteady heartbeat. ‘You lost your way, I found my own’ Jozem sings about the fear of uncertainty, something we can all relate to. ‘You projected all your fears on me’ I am presuming the dreams he is having are started to slowing spill into every day life. There is a sense I feel that in this track he was fighting with his dreams.
This self-written and self-produced track is truly a gem. I can certainly hear him collaborating with the likes of Moses Sumney, SZA and Easy Life
