23-year-old rapper, dereck d.a.c. releases his brand new single, dereckVSLIFE, pulled from his forthcoming debut LP 'Who Sold My Soul?'

There's been a buzz around the Brighton artist since 2019 when he dropped a debut mixtape that told tales not only of his hometown, but also of his journey across the Atlantic from his native Brazil as a child. His previous releases have gained attention from the likes of Complex and Dummy Mag while resulting in the independent selling-out of cassette tapes to his growing, dedicated fanbase.

The new single begins the countdown to his most major release as of yet, with the 13-track LP set for a vinyl release alongside a documentary of how it was made - written and recorded on a productive trip to Lisbon with producer, KianVsLife.

“At the start of 2020 I managed to save up a load of money from washing dishes and pay for myself and Kian (KianVsLife, producer) to fly out to Lisbon. I had to get away from Brighton in search of some inspiration and fresh surroundings, and that's how this song and the whole LP was made."
