‘Mass Appeal’ is the impressive new release from rapper and producer Piers James, taken from his forthcoming new EP ‘A Dying Breed Part II’.

Teaming up with Atlanta based producer Quentin Miller, who has most notably worked with the likes of Drake, ‘Mass Appeal’ is an infectious and uplifting track accompanied by a visual shot partly on handycam after a recent trip to Piers’ homeland of Barbados. With beautiful coastal views and sunshine drenched scenery, the video is a tongue-in-cheek take on the stereotypical rap video, whilst creating a feel-good summertime vibe. Lyrically taking on the notion of not being afraid to break the mould, ‘Mass Appeal’ pays homage to the importance of authenticity and individuality in rap music.

On his forthcoming EP ‘A Dying Breed, Pt. II’, Piers aims to solidify his standing as one of the most exciting UK rappers by paving the way in widening the representation of alternative black music and culture into the mainstream. Thrillingly impossible to pigeonhole, his versatile productions seamlessly synthesise elements of jazz, hip hop, R&B, reggae and grime.
