The 23-year-old artist released his new single ‘U ME WE’ on 12th January 2021 and now the official video also drops. In this song, Surya tells a personal story about his upbringing in Chennai, the turbulence of his relocation to London and his unwavering ambition, over the sparse and punctuating instrumental of We All Try. Surya’s ambition is to excel and inspire and this song is a bold statement of intent.

Whilst still at university Surya self-released his first album Adolessence, with all tracks being played by BBC radio. Named one of the best new artists of 2018 by BBC Introducing, Surya received further coverage from both sides of the Atlantic. Reflecting the song’s themes, this video is a symbolic representation of Surya’s attempt at materialising his ambitions, overcoming setbacks and forging a legacy of his own.
