Haling from Canada is Mighloe with ‘Don’t Call Me’ a mixture of R&B and soul. I can hear that she is displaying the emotion in her voice as her vibrato emphasises certain phrases. Then on the flip side you can hear some short more staccato phrasing, expressing exactly how she is feeling. The production on this track is absolutely beautiful a true work of art, the magic of LateNightDive and Dean Vision. The warm and sultry guitar complements the track well especially the solo at the end with the delay and reverb.

She repeats the line ‘Please don’t call me up, I ain’t answering got no time for it’. I feel that she has reached the end of her tether, maybe there needs to be space in the situation. The sense of wanting to recollect your thoughts and clear out the noise in your mind. Even though this could relate to a relationship I feel that during these troubling times it’s been difficult to communicate with people. Simply going to work and then going home on repeat is mind numbing. Socialising over the phone becomes strained and you have nothing to talk about, especially if there is a lot of people getting in touch. So I believe the lyrics can also be in reference to setting boundaries, what you allow in your space and what you give energy to.
