Mac Lloyd - Melancholic Soul Club (EP)

From the pen of Mac Lloyd - Iʼm writing this myself instead of opting for the traditional method of getting someone else to write it and having it written in the third person. My reason for this is simple; this EP, Melancholic Soul Club, is too close to my heart to have somebody else tell you why you should enjoy it. Because you might not, and thatʼs fine.

It is for this reason, that I have taken on the duty of not only writing and producing the EP, but mixing and mastering it as well. These songs were written over some of the more testing periods in my adult life, difficult times that have helped shape me into the person I am today. A man that ultimately, I am proud to be, (itʼs nice to be able to finally say that after all this time).

This project not only serves as an essay on these times, but as a reflection of the gritty reality of my past addictions (All Too Well), my love induced paranoia (If I Could, Mine), losing those dearest to me and watching the aftermath as it unfolded (Man Of Faith). Besides Man Of Faith, the creation of these songs dates back at least two years, well before my signing to Green Brick Records, and I have carried them with me until now.

Much Love, Mac
