Premiere: JayaHadADream - Too Many
It’s no secret that Nottingham is known for a city with a decent music scene. Hip Hop and all the culture encompasses has always been represented here to a high level, whether this is Rap Music, Graffiti, Breakin’ and festivals dedicated to the music, Nottingham covers all.
At Wordplay we’ve worked with Nottingham locals, Cappo, Juga-Naut, Harleighblu, Melonyx, Claude Money and J Littles to name a few….
So it’s with great pleasure that we can support and launch the first listen to JayaHADream’s latest single Too Many!
JayaHadADream, born in Cambridge, Jaya Gordon-Moore is a female independent rapper, singer and producer. With various community support projects, working for Fearless Youth Association and Mojatu Foundation most of her focus is on Gender, Race, and Identity Politics. Mix this with early 90’s Hip Hop influences, Kate Bush, the work of Du Bois and you’ll begin to realise why her sound is something Wordplay are very interested in.
So, working with Wasalu on production JayaHadADream creates ‘Too Many’ a single epitomising the tedious everyday life and trying to make it in the music industry.
‘Too many times I’ve said to my day one this time I think I’ve made it, the amount of times I’ve had opportunities in the creative scene where I have been overly gassed and it maybe not been as successful as I thought.’
Enjoy this one, make sure you follow her movements on socials, and show some love!
