Ruti - All At Once (EP)

Entering Spring 2021 with warmth and radiance, Essex born songstress Ruti releases her stunning 4-track EP “All at Once”. ‘All At Once’ is particularly special as it’s her first independent project and her first opportunity to take full control of her creative compass.
The project includes the singles ‘My Sunrise’ and ‘Closer To You’. Fresh to our ears are two tracks ‘When it Rains’ and ‘Daylight’
‘Daylight’ starts off with warped vocals, atmospheric FX and minor chords. Then we get hit with Ruti’s unique and beautiful tone and you find yourself getting completely lost as the dynamic shifts and other instruments are added. ‘I wanna hibernate forever’ she sings about the winter month and how difficult it can be. I think it’s a month that can be challenging for a lot of people mentally. Waking up early to the darkness and getting dark in the the early evening, the extra effort put it to get out of a warm bed. I feel that her wordplay here really describes and paints a picture of the British weather. Focusing on the word ‘forever’ as winter can feel like forever as it is a great British pastime to talk about the weather.
