Long-term collaborators Diamondback Kid, John Hicks and Tommy Brown join forces to unleash the 4-track E.P. “N.O.M.A.D.”. Gregorian monk samples, sparse drums and earth-shattering subs all provide an ominous soundscape that departs from the usual style adopted by these three. Tommy and DBK use experimental rhyme schemes to take us on an interstellar journey, exploring profound questions of existence alongside more trivial pursuits such as drinking lager. From the garage-influenced ‘Fish’ to the atmospheric ‘Parasite’, this trio leave no stone unturned in their quest for new sounds. The glitched video edit for the sonically murky ‘Spock’ highlights the manic nature of these cosmic themes. DBK’s production is sharp; Hicks’ keys are on point and TB’s bars are hard. Together they are a force to be reckoned with.
