UK based Afrobeat artist, with Nigerian heritage, Crówn sees 2021 as the year to release his 5-track debut EP project. The first single titled ‘Africa Unite’ was released on the 25th February. This first track is a way for Crown to familiarise his audience and new listeners with both his sound and style of storytelling through his music. Drawing influences from the likes of Fela Kuti, Lagbaja and Majek Fashek, this particular song has a positive, hopeful, yet vibrant summer feel to it. This track isn’t like any of Crown’s previous releases. It marks the beginning of a hopeful world Crown is creating with each release leading up to the EP later this summer.

Produced by Calliemajik, Africa Unite’ speaks for all generations and anyone who has ever found themselves treated unequally or beaten by society, police and the system. The song starts with an intro with a sampled speech from the first prime minister of Nigeria speaking on bringing peace, unity & equality across the African continent. Crówn then comes in with a catchy, upbeat chorus.
