Coventry rapper JAY1 releases his anticipated project ‘One Wave 2’. The project does exactly what it says on the tin, an extension of the club bangers and classic JAY1 tracks that centre him as the star boy of Coventry.

Along with the EP comes a documentary: Amazon +44 presents: JAY1. The documentary is an intimate and detailed portrait of one of the most exciting rappers to have burst on to the UK scene in years. It follows the young British MC as he journeys from his native North London to his adopted home town of Coventry, this film sees JAY1 tell the story - with the help of family, friends and collaborators in his One Wave crew - of how he went from being an aspiring footballer to local legend to mastermind of top 20 UK chart hits like “Becky” and “Your Mrs.”. This isn’t a grime film, nor a drill one - as JAY1 himself would put it, it’s purely a “Cov Wave”.
