Canadian, London based artist, producer and songwriter Laura Roy blends her love for classic 70’s folk and 90’s r&b vocals to create a unique soulful sound.

Her first single of 2021 is ‘Water’ from her upcoming EP "TIDES", which was written and produced by her and Geo Jordan. Instrumentation has syncopated rhythms, wonderful warm guitar and bass tone to match the vocals. With a folk/singer songwriter background with a love for R&B to create a unique sound of new-wave/alternative R&B.

‘Water’ starts off with atmospheric ad libs and throughout she paints a story giving us beautiful imagery, ‘What a perfect time to pay attention to the flowers and they dance’. Giving us a little piece of her home through music ode to rural Nova Scotia Canada. This track makes me want to visit Canada and experience some of the delightful gems it has to offer.
