PREMIERE: Sharpes - Same Trip (EP)

Sharpes drops his debut EP ‘Same Trip’. Strictly hip hop and entirely produced by Beatowski. Sharpes will be accompanying the project with 2 videos and a live set, as well as dropping a freestyle video he filmed for L.A.B (Leicester Arts Base).

Sharpes is a Hip Hop and Drum and Bass emcee from Leicester. He started writing about 7 years ago but in the past 2 or 3 years has been working to make a name for himself in the local scene. His introduction as an artist came at a friend’s monthly drum and bass night ‘open minds’. After running the first few events he asked Sharpes if he would like to have a go at hosting the nights. Predominantly writing on hip hop It was unknown territory, having never performed in front of a crowd and his lack of experience as a D&B emcee, it was terrifying but extremely exciting. Sharpes hosted their nights for about 6 or 7 months and loved every second of it. He worked hard to refine his art and create a unique sound, incorporating his hip hop style into the world of raving.
