Fizzler - Snakes & Fakes (Official Video) + 10 Questions

South London rapper Fizzler releases new track Snakes & Fakes, available now across all DSPs. Fizzler aka Fizz aka FizzWetit’s typically savage lyrics are in full flow on this no holds-bared take on growing up and hustling on the streets of his hometown.

Snakes & Fakes is produced by Pyro, Nathan and OkikiBeats with the accompanying video directed by Jxydxn.

Fizzler has risen through the ranks over the past two years with his Light Work, the Who Got Bars freestyles and debut EP WET IT SZN with support from tastemaker platforms GRM, Mixtape Madness, LinkUP, Lily Mercer and Wordplay Magazine.

Fizzler sat down with Wordplay Magazine to answer our infamous 10 Questions:

1. So tell me, how did it all begin? What sparked your love for music?

My big brother is a musician so that definitely had a big impact on me starting music but it was also a way of me getting my point across to people as I feel that’s how I explain things best.

2. Who are some artists that influence you and that you want to work with in the future?

I wouldn’t say a lot of artist me but the few that do.... I would say J Hus, Michael Jackson and someone like Giggs. I think these people motivated me to making saucy drill so it’s not just violence but u getting a look in on every part of my life.

3. What are some of the problems you have faced making and releasing the music during the coronavirus pandemic?

Getting access to studios hasn’t been easy, i have had to set up my own studio in my house and it makes it a lot harder to shoot good videos as ur not allowed to be with a lot of people at once.

4. How would you describe your sound?

My sound is very different to normal drill artist from the way I flow or even say certain things, it’s very different. I would say that my drill music has a lifestyle and party vibe which is why I call it saucy drill because I’m telling you everyday things but in a way that u can dance to boys and girls.

5. What's your proudest moment to date so far as an artist?

When I got my first 1 million views because I remember telling the mandem Imagine to have a million views and then I did it a year later it was just very mad but I even think the mandem were happier then me so that made everything better.

6. Do you have any advice for our readers who may be trying to play the mad game of music?

Do you and If you are you doing right or you really mean what your saying people are gonna naturally gravitate towards you so do it for you not for what other people think.

8. What albums are on heavy rotation on your Spotify playlist currently?

I couldn’t really give an album because my music taste is everywhere but if I had to right now I would say J-Hus - Big Conspiracy.

9. What do you like to do when you're not making music?

Just chilling with my friends same old nothing too special just knowing my real 1s are good and catching vibe.
