After taking some time off to recover, Midas The Jagaban returns with an unexpected double video drop for two fan favourites - “Cloud 9” & “Step 2 Me” - taken from her debut EP “Midas Touch”. Pumping a different kind of energy into the UK scene, Midas has become unmatched, unrivalled and pioneering in her short but rapid rise.

“Midas Touch” dropped late last year and quickly became a culturally defining project and moment overnight. Pulling in some of the most in-demand creatives, “Cloud 9” is directed by Nathan James Tettey who has also worked on Ghetts & Stomzy’s - “Skengman'' as well as Headie One & Drake’s - “Only You Freestyle”. The ritualistic visuals see Midas front and centre alongside dancers Sophia and Cocainna who all commanded attention with effortless ease. Throughout the video, Midas’ personality is reflected with a nod to The Joker, a misunderstood mastermind, whilst also paying homage to Nigerian Afrobeat legend, Lágbájá, with her traditional attire reflecting not only her roots but her anonymity. Directed by Mad Brother Productions (Afro B, Blade Brown, Steel Banglez), “Step 2 Me” sees Midas behind bars playing out a narrative that redefines gender roles and once again proves her ability to switch things up and change the conversation away from the status quo.
