Speaking on the track, ArmstrongWW say’s: I wrote Imperfect after realising how much effort I put into appearing perfect at the cost of my sanity. No one wants to be the person with a mental disorder, so I battled with accepting what I was going through for a long time. Imperfect is a message conveying that although I am not perfect, I have finally come to peace with my struggle and who I am. In the African community, many kids never come to this resolution due to the fear of parents not believing them, so I want to pave a path for the mental health conversation being common in our families using music's power.
