Paisley emcee, Kryptik, is a familiar sight in the Scottish Hip Hop scene. With an extensive, 10 year back catalogue of solo and group appearances with Delivery Room and Dental Rekords, he has been hailed as one of the most consistent artists in the country. The 2019 SAMA Award nominee has been kept busy during lockdown with regular plays, interviews and shows on radio stations up and down the country, and recently seen his national debut on BBC Introducing in Scotland.

Back with his first solo release of 2021, Kryptik has once again combined forces with fellow Scotsman and producer, Crink, for another soulful summer anthem. Taken from his ‘Collective Thoughts’ album, ‘You Want It’ brings a very positive message with yet another signature, infectious hook to keep you locked from the get-go. This one speaks about embracing what is and letting go of what’s not. An encouraging reminder to seize the moment but also strike the balance of accepting the flow, fragility and impermanence of life.
