At just seventeen years of age, singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist James Arlington has already been making music for over six years, with several projects in his repertoire. Raised on a pleasant mix of 70s and 80s pop, funk and soul music, James has shown an aptitude for music production from a young age, proven by learning to play the piano at just eight years old.

Arlington's debut single comes as no surprise to some. Through spending his teenage years in bands and other music groups he’s carefully refined his abilities, breaking into the Norwich music scene and beyond with the instantly memorable 80s-influenced pop track 'Alone', featuring vocals from upcoming Suffolk-based artist Beth Skillings. Taking inspiration from artists past and present (Jamiroquai, George Michael, FKJ, Tom Misch), this is the first track to feature Arlington’s own vocals and is entirely self-written, recorded and produced. It may be early stages for James, but it's an exciting path ahead.
