American soul singer, songwriter and producer Leon Bridges returns to bless our ears with his latest single ‘Motorbike’, ahead of his third studio album ‘Gold Diggers Sound’ coming out this July.

‘Motorbike’ starts with warm acoustic guitar picking, followed by drums then gets drenched in soulful vocals. It’s a song to get absolutely lost in and put on repeat and once doesn’t quite feel long enough, as he describes beautiful imagery and we can follow the journey.

Leon is a four time Grammy nominee and winner of 2019’s Best Traditional R&B Performance. This is his first body of work since 2020’s ‘Texas Sun’, a collaborative EP with Khruangbin.

Leon on ‘Motorbike’: “The inception of the song started with this afrobeat-type instrumental that my homeboy Nate Mercerau made. Prior to the session, I was in Puerto Rico for my 30th with my best friends, and the energy of that trip totally inspired this song. ‘Motorbike’ is about living in the moment and escaping with someone. It’s the personification of that unspoken chemistry you have with that person. A special thank you to my man Anderson .Paak for the stunning visuals”
