London-based, French-Senegalese artist anaiis shares her brand new single ‘reverie’. The track is available to download and stream on all platforms.

Following up to her intensely personal single ‘juno’, anaiis delivers her sublime and distinctive vocals throughout ‘reverie’, a profound but warm jam sprinkled with light touches that elevates the listener’s energy. Coming to light on a trip to LA, anaiis worked with the artist and producer Biako, who created the dreamlike chord progression that perfectly encapsulated the mood she was feeling at the time. Calling upon acclaimed sax-player (and Nick Hakim collaborator) Jesse and Forever to layer some horns, the track was then given an injection of amplified throwback sonics. “reverie is a song that explores the attachment to my lifelong dreams of being an artist, the expectations and disappointments I had on that path,” the artist laments. “It’s recognition that my ambitions may not manifest in exactly the ways I may have imagined, but that there is still so much to love and celebrate about who I am in that process.”
