Zoka The Author - Original Sins (Double Single)

"Zoka The Author mixes something old and something new in his latest double single, Orginal Sins. The release features revamped versions of 2 songs from earlier in his career, before he re-branded as Zoka The Author: The Fruit (I Like It) and No Chains. You can still find the original version of No Chains as a music video on his YouTube channel, while The Fruit was actually originally featured on the album he made for his university dissertation, for which he was featured on national and international news outlets at the time!

Thematically, both songs focus on embracing our imperfections as necessary aspects of our humanity which give us direction and purpose, though each song does so in a different way. On No Chains (revisited), Zoka brandishes his vocal chops, crooning over a trappy beat in a newly rewritten second verse which reflects upon the mistakes he made in a past relationship. Meanwhile, on The Fruit (I Like It), Zoka channels in bucketfuls the fierce, feel-good energy he has become known for, spitting an infectious hook over a resampled beat reminiscent of early Kanye.

Both songs make one thing abundantly clear: Zoka The Author has come a long way, and he shows no sign of stopping."
