Twin sisters El’Vee have been instrumental in promoting Afrobeats in the UK in recent years and have worked with notable Nigerian musicians throughout their career. The British-Nigerian duo make music that has one foot in the UK and the other in West Africa, as they take elements of the thriving Afrobeats scene and mix them with UK Club and Pop sounds, resulting in radio-friendly crossover bangers. They also aim to tackle the gender imbalance found in the Afrobeats scene, with a continuous tale of female strength and empowerment across their output.

Their new single celebrates their love of the global game and one of its most colourful characters. Entitled ‘Balotelli’, the track oozes style, sauce and a carefree nature that Balotelli is famed for. Produced by Tiwezi and engineered by KrizBeatz, the collab showcases the twins’ syncopated vocal style which adds an extra rhythmic element to the club friendly anthem.
