Bushrod returns to the soundsphere with an upbeat, Summer-ready serenade, treading the line between indie-pop and hip-hop to soundtrack our return to more ‘normal’ times.

With loose, jazzy guitar and bouncing drums, Pizza Date is taken from ‘TV Dinner’, the forthcoming mixtape from the Brixton alt-rapper, which is set to hit our playlists on 15th July

The video accompaniment to Pizza Date is bright and comical and builds upon the notable visual identity of the South Londoner, who already has numerous tastemaker collaborations under his belt, including Stussy and Barbour.

Self-awareness and playful cultural observation both come naturally to the emerging artist, with Pizza Date mischievously tackling romance and dating, frugality, tardiness, infidelity and more. In his own words, “I wanted to make the record quite fun and humorous, whilst including elements of my own personal experiences throughout. Think butterflies in the stomach, awkward hugs and long walks to nowhere’.
