Jazz drummer and musical director MckNasty shares his biographical LP ‘As Things Grow’.

The 10 track project is about his journey to becoming an artist in his own right. The interlude ‘Frustrations’ acts as a narrator, weaving the album’s songs together to chronicle his musical story. Expect a dynamic, drum-led fusion of Jazz, Hip-Hop, Gospel and his love of cinematic string arrangements.

Standout track ‘Not Nice’, featuring Kojey Radical and South African rapper Laudable, was born out of the collective experiences of three black men. Sonically submerging the listener into their story, providing an anthemic and defiant response to the oppression and marginalisation they face.

Discussing the project, MckNasty says “As things grow is a small insight on what’s happening in my head and my heart I’m a family man and a musician, always pushing myself to be better than I was the day before”
