Joshua Luke Smith - Silence (Single)

With his latest release “Silence” Joshua Luke Smith delivers a rich, emotive experience with the help of fellow emerging artist, Kyra.

Released on May 28th, “Silence” differs from Joshua Luke Smith’s previous releases, diverting from the usual hard-hitting beats typically heard within British Contemporary Rap, for a raw and soulful sound. “Silence” draws upon Joshua’s personal experiences, introducing themes of loneliness and solace as the track slowly works it’s way through the inner workings of the artist’s mind.

Featuring another fast-rising artist in Kyra, the single moves back and forth between Joshua’s insightful lyricism and the smooth and comforting vocals provided by Kyra, overall creating a track rife with self-reflection and introspection.

Speaking more in-depth about the meaning behind the track, Joshua explains; 

“Silence was the song I didn’t want to write. It’s more of a confession than anything, an announcement of the inescapable aloneness that confronts me (and I think is all at one time or another). I’ve learnt the only way to find true solace is through silence, that until I face what is hidden most deeply within, healing and peace will remain unreachable
