Planky ft: Harry Shotta, PAV4N & Dynamite MC - Soul plane (Single)

Rekkit Records is pleased to unveil the new single from Hampshire-based producer, Planky.

Arriving almost a year after the release of Todays Life, which saw Planky teaming up with three notable names from UK music – Chester P, Micall Parknsun and Carasel – this latest single finds him in similar company, while taking his sound in a new direction.

Todays Life followed a distinct path through the realms of hip hop, but on Soul Plane, Planky moves things up a notch with a more fast-paced rhythm. It comes from his recent experimentation within the world of funk, which is sample heaven for those faster drum breaks and infectious basslines.

And with the change in tempo in the production, comes a switch up in the vocals too. Planky has managed to draft in three double-time veterans for the features, each bringing their own flavours to the mix. First up is the mesmerising wordplay of Harry Shotta, before PAV4N eases in with an effortlessly intricate flow and then Dynamite MC finishes things off with some more technical brilliance.
