Let me tell you now this is one to watch! Hailing from Brighton is the talented solo artist, songwriter and music producer Bessi.

‘Modern Day Mozart’ her with this shimmery tune with jazzy elements, giving us a fusion of hip-hop and neo soul. With classic Bessi-like harmonies, her smooth velvety vocals gliding over this track. That CFX DJ type sound fading out then in when she starts sing-rapping is absolutely effortless. This song feels empowering and she sounds like through the lyrics she is making affirmations and revealing small parts of herself.

Bessi grew up playing jazz guitar and writing from a young age, discovering her love of jazz vocalists such as Billie Holiday & Ella Fitzgerald. A self-produced wonder and through her previous project Sea Bed she has gained support from Radio 1 & Radio 6 Music, playing the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury. Last year she joined Universal's roster as a composer, producing for the all female album, 100% Her. Has also previously produced for Blood Orange and is currently an August ‘Featured Artist’ on BBC Introducing the South & BBC Sounds.
