Trademark Blud - Broken Hearts (Single)

There really was no doubt on our minds but if for some reason Trademark Blud hadn’t convinced you of being one of the most exciting rappers to rep the West Midlands he has surely done it this year. His 5th release Broken Hearts is still up there for pace, but the subject matter has a much darker turn than his last single Murderer released only a few weeks ago. Again, produced by newcomer Influx, it’s clear the two have gelled instantly and are currently creating magic each and every time.

Broken hearts is an alternative view on domestic violence in which it shows the victim as a person in significant power, particularly when they plot to retaliate without the abusers knowledge. The song explores the possible outcomes and price people could pay when they push people too far and in many ways this song acts a mirror to that behaviour and a deterrent.
