Cat Burns - Into You (Official Video)
Streatham singer-songwriter Cat Burns returns today with her irresistible summer jam ‘Into You’, released via Since ‘93/Sony.
‘Into You’ is a delightfully pure statement of intent. In the Anna Fearon-directed video, two young Black women display their love in the park, one balmy afternoon and evening. “Should I play it cool?” sings Cat, in forthright, confessional mood. “Because I never do.” The middle-8 is a crafty voicemail message, asking for help. Sometimes being besotted with someone is all it takes to form the spine of a classic summer tune.
Speaking on the single, Cat said -“For the song I really wanted to talk about the first stages of getting to know someone, it’s exciting, it's nerve racking and you put a lot of pressure on yourself so I wanted the song to represent that. I wanted to showcase how pure black queer love is, how gentle and tender it is, and i think the video accurately shows that.”
