Greentea Peng ft: Simmy & Kid Cruise - Free My People (The Streets Remix (Single)

With the release of one of the most critically acclaimed debut albums of the year in June with her opus MAN MADE and a peppering of the late summer festival slots, today Greentea Peng shares a remix of recent single “Free My People” by The Streets. A musical hero, kindred spirit and past collaborator (Greentea featured on the Mike Skinner single ‘I Wish You Loved You as Much as You Loved Him’), the pairing sees Skinner add fresh verses and a hazy garage beat which nods to his seminal debut LP “Original Pirate Material”. Both lyrically and sonically it is the perfect meeting of minds.

Skinner delves into the collaboration; “Greentea Peng was the last person I did a show with before lockdown and almost the first after lockdown. Between then she appeared on my album and her album is amazing. I hope I did the subject matter justice, it’s an important subject! free up the guys!"
