K-Trap drops his highly anticipated 16-track mixtape, ‘Trapo’. Recorded at his Thousand8 Studio, Trap has been firing out singles since May including ‘Warm’, ‘Maths’ and most recently ‘Pick N Mix’, which have sent waves through the scene and answered any questions on why he should be paid homage.

Trap just dropped the video for his latest single, ‘Free C Roy’ alongside black and white visuals shot by long term collaborator Romael. Staying true to his musical DNA the Drill-heavy project reinstates his place as a key pioneer of the genre in the UK. Trap has mastered the balance between his original Drill sound, and utilising the tone and energy that first caught the attention of the scene back in 2017.

Giving fans the most honest version of himself to date, Trap’s songwriting details his frantic lifestyle, exploring themes of loss, introspectiveness, escapism and purpose. In a series of reflections he delves into the tragedy of his personal life including the death of his Grandad, mourning the loss of friends and his attempts to cope with his thoughts. Throughout the mixtape Trap worked with various producers including beat wizards M1OnTheBeat (Drake, Headie One, Digga D), Ghosty (Dave, Headie One), Natz LDN (Lil Baby, AJ Tracey, D Block Europe), Handz Beatz (Fred, Young Adz) to name a few who supply a sinister tone with a combination of haunting synths, vocal samples and fast paced drums.
