LAIKA - Wings (Single)

Born in the late 90’s LAIKA comes from the unique generation of kids with a foot in both the real and virtual worlds.

Raised equally by the far reaches of the internet and the raves in his local city of Leeds he garners inspiration from across the board, incorporating influence from the Adult Swim era Beatmakers, Uk dance music, and even the recently emerging Hyperpop scene.

The latest single Wings was self produced in various bedroom studios around Leeds alongside co producer and close friend BNMO. Channeling the DIY ethos of making do with whatever you have at your disposal the track was brought to life with little more than a laptop, a couple instruments, and a surprisingly effective vocal booth thrown together out of duvets and a wardrobe.

Wings has already been teased through live performances alongside a ragtag group of extremely talented musicians who breathe a whole new energy into the song, transforming the beat into a rowdy explosion of Jazz and soul.
