Shogun Shato - TakeOne [UP2STNDRD]

South London born artist, Shogun Shato began pursuing music as a career, in Edinburgh, towards the start of 2020. Being heavily informed by a variety of musical genres including grime, hip hop, garage and jazz, he channels these influences in combination with thought-provoking and witty lyricism to create his sound.

After a successful first year of releases, including being featured on BBC Introducing, Shogun Shato released his debut EP “Chrysalis”, paying homage to many of his musical influences whilst simultaneously informing listeners of his journey up until this point. Following this, Shogun Shato travelled to Japan before returning to South London where he spent the rest of 2021 developing his craft on various stages across South London.

Moving forward, Shogun Shato looks to refine his sound, at the same time bringing storytelling to the forefront of his identity as an artist. There is much to look forward to this year as Shogun Shato’s sound develops.
