Darius ft: Kadhja Bonet - NOTHING TO ME

Parisian producer Darius shares his latest single NOTHING TO ME featuring Californian musician and vocalist Kadhja Bonet. The track is out now via independent imprint Roche Musique.

Following the release of 6-track EP OASIS - a prelude to the forthcoming album featuring collaborations with Wayne Snow, Benny Sings, Duñe, Amaria and Flwr Chlyd - the new track sparks a fresh start to 2022 for the French producer. Calling upon recent Ninja Tune signee and neo-soul sensation Kadhja Bonet - who has collaborated with some heavy hitters including SiR, Childish Gambino, Anderson & Paak, The Free Nationals whilst picking up support across the spectrum of international media - she confirms her place as a new talent to look out for. With the mellow, airy vocal treatment contrasted by the emancipated lyrics of the Californian singer; the song builds to a powerful climax before slowly falling back to the sound of an enchanted harp to create a truly beguiling sonical journey.

Initially reaching out via Instagram in 2017, it would take a few years before the artists linked up during the period Darius was writing the OASIS record. “I have been in awe of Kadhja Bonet's project since her first albums 'The Visitor' and 'Childqueen', from the very first listen, I was touched and obsessed by her angelic voice and her soulful, sixties pop compositions with a transcendent heart that reminded me of the jazz vocal group The Singers Unlimited,” exclaims Darius.
