For new listeners and latecomers, there was no handier introduction to Leeds collective Gotts Street Park than their recent EP ‘Diego’ . A musical suite of instrumental songs formed from the raw energy of being together in one room and which drilled into the nucleus of GSP.

Following recent highlight ‘Lost & Found’ ft. Charlotte Dos Santos and ahead of their anticipated debut album, Gotts Street Park are once again turning their inspiration to their seamless blend of traditional soul meets contemporary hip hop with their latest offering, new single ‘Summer Breeze’ featuring the smooth tones of frequent collaborator Rosie Lowe. Eager ears might already be familiar with their previous collaboration, single ‘Everything’.

"Summer Breeze is an ode to anyone stuck in a toxic relationship. I wrote the chorus as a mantra, a reminder not to settle for anything less than someone who makes you feel amazing” explains Lowe. Arriving just as the seasons change, ‘Summer Breeze’ sees Lowe’s ethereal voice voyage across simmering funkholds of snares, synths and piano, mixed with moments of laughter and chatting captured from the studio. Their union submerges listeners from its early notes into another Gotts Street Park experience.

Commenting on their new single Gotts Street Park mention, "The instrumental for Summer Breeze is basically us hanging out in the studio and jamming - you can hear us chatting and laughing in the background. Sometimes you can lose the essence of a song when you decide to tidy it up and re-record it, so we just kept it for what it is. Collaborating with Rosie is an absolute no-brainer for us, she's super talented and creative and there was instant chemistry on this tune.”
